yeah just to express my utter boredom.
hoho.
anyway i was reading through the posts and since i am bored, i shall ermh go through whatever is happening with my life now. im taking tennis classes with faiz (which has proven to strengthen the idea of me attempting to conduct life like a normal human being and failing miserably) and that's about it. i was doing A Levels in KDU for 6 months. i was initially doing economics, mathematics, biology and chemistry but i stopped my science subjects because i wanted to focus on the two humanities that i wanted to take AS for in June.
i also did my yamaha grade 5 electone exams in June.
my visa to the US has been approved! i shall soon join aminah in the States in august. my flight will be leaving to chicago through korea on the 29th of august.
i will be attending Knox College (population : 1200) in Galesburg, Illinois to start my bachelors. knox is a liberal arts college. ermh liberal arts is this system in US lah, where they basically want you to open your mind and broaden ur thinking. i do not have to declare my major until my junior year, but im hopefully going to do something in mathematics + creative writing (knox has a fantastic creative writing prog) and well yeah. that's basically it. i'll be on scholarship from the college itself, the Lincoln Scholarship, which is actually the best award the college can give. it covers 2/3 of everything, and includes two hour of employment per day to cover my allowance.
im planning to become a lifeguard =D
im also thinking of taking at least 3 actuarial exams from the SOA. just to strengthen my bachelors. and for employment purposes.
scholarships from here...ermh i got MARA to go to US to do actuarial science, but not this year, so i turned it down. and there was this offer from PETRONAS to do economics in NZ b4 results and that wasn't a good deal so i turned it down too.
and after im done with all of that, i plan on coming back and getting married.
HAHA.
the idea of graduate school will be tagging along in my mind.

i never thought i'd be blogging so much in such a short space of time..wheeee! *rolls eyes at myself* and yes..we do seem to be everywhere don't we...*sigh* thats what sucks about finishing high school.as much as you hated it, you still can't help but love it at the same time. life will never be the same will it? Life is definately DIFFERENT here. Very the. which is mostly due to the absence of interesting things to do...which has lead me to become a little bit wilder (ironic isn't it) since there aren't any fun things to do which are 'morally right' (yes..we always seem to think that the study freaks here think that stuff we do is 'morally wrong'...it isn't really tho.seriously. its just them) Yes and thats the other thing that makes life so different here. omg majority of the ppl around me are so....i duno. We're in college for goodness sake so act like it..AND many of them seem to eat up their books. Thank GOODNESS I found ppl that i could get along with. I was worried I was gonna be miserable here... I guesss you could say i'm happy. but i still miss penang and everything and everyONE in it.
somebody on blogspot seems to have already taken my TRADEMARK screen name 'shadowmancer' so i tried 'illusionist' (my 2nd fave choice) but SOMEBODY HAS ALSO TAKEN IT *shock* (yes perasan i know, shattap, it's my first entry here, so i deserve to crap for awhile) so i was tempted to use melati. but im sure that's taken. so i tried melly88 (HAHA). also taken.
if i were to put my full name *insert beautiful melodic full name*, that would results in..daddy finding the blog or something. which i wouldn't want, obviously. =) so i got pissed. and put my current nick ; melmelmelmelmelmel.
it is a simple explanation for a simple nick, for the nick combines only 3 letters from the alphabet.

let's come back to a short history, okay. i've been staying in penang since 1996. which makes it 10 years! woohhooo!~ i have family here, though, so technically (TECHNICALLY LAA) im like..born and bred in penang? awwwww *sobs*
anyway yes. though i leave, i shall always remember you, stinky, messy island that is barely on the map.

Pardon me if you were being forced to come here, but I want to make this project successful. The purpose of this blog is so that we could know what the rest of us are doing. Us here is referring to those that are connected in this circle of friends, took SPM in 2005, and of course, studied for a long period of time previously in Penang.
There is no specific theme to what you can put over here, but if you need a guideline, then let it be about the life you're currently having. Talk about your school/college/university/institution and whatever. If your environment seems different than the one you've known in Penang, then share with us about it.
And because some of us are in different time zones, don't bother about it.
Before someone change the layout of this blog and make it look nicer, I wanna have some fun on this currently crappy looking blog. Yes, it looks crappy....
