being childlish = me

anyways. sorry for deleting the previous entries (even though i'm sure you haven't noticed).

why not i talk a bit about my life the past few weeks.

i guess what most people want to hear from me is prom.

yeaah. prom. sounds like something the americans do. from what i've heard they have like 3 a year? ahah wat a nice time for tailors and designers.

i guess prom fever starts before it actually happens and ends after it's over. and no, it is so not within 24 hours.

prom at an international school is kinda different from the ordinary proms held by colleges i guess. from what i've heard. so yeah. firstly, it's definitely more costly than anything else.

prom starts 3 weeks before the actually day (or was it a month?) it starts with the "will you go to prom with me?" and the who's going with who fuss. then people start discussing dresses, hotel bookings, payment, no payment, alcohol, previous prom, who's back for prom, make up, hair appointments. the usual, "oh who's your tailor and can he do it for me too". "you spent 1000 on you dress!!" "which hairstyle suits me best?" "which shop did you get that from".

somehow in all that talk, the guys seem less enthuiastic than the girls (duh). prom comes nearer. people talk more about it. and soon it kinda becomes sickening to the stomach. yeah. all the pressure man. who wouldn't feel sick. actually it's no pressure, but to me it is lah. all these stupid unnecessary stuff like make up.

so prom was at mandarin oriental, diamond ballroom (yes i know, it's so not cheap) but truth to be told, it was so worthit. yes it was. it' was like a formal dinner except instead of with your parents, you're with your friends. and it's a bit more fun la. everyone's snapping pictures everywhere, so you just see flashes.

and yes the natural prom prince princess queen n king.

there was some dancing going on towards the end and people started leaving at 11 something.

it so does not end there. duh. AFTER PARTY!

yeah that was the highlight of prom. espanda was the place. free flow was the keyword. and yes it cost me 120. uhuh.

i know. what a bomb. but hey, it's an experience, so why not? at the after party. people just become someone else. and the next moment, you don't even know who you're making out with. hahaha it's just the drinks getting to them. it's kinda scary when you wake up the next morning and go, "oh no". and being the very sensible me. ehem. i did no such thing. ahaha

loads of dancing. yeaaaa it was cool. one of the year 13s started to rap and it was cool.

did i mention people drink? yes, and a lot. did i mention people got drunk? yes, and a lot. did i mention people made out? yes, and a lot. did i mention people were dirty dancing? yes, and a lot.haha.

i feel that staring can be rude. so i tried my very best not to. actually i didn't stare at all. i expected that much from an after party. so i left around 3am and i guess some people started to leave around that time too. so things were less wild at that time? no? i think not.

well that's my short version of prom. and no, i will not bore you with the details. but if you have any questions i'm sure you know where to find me. :)

summer break just started for me and it's been kinda nice. everyone was really having a nice time in school on friday, cheering the last minutes of school on.

we had talent quest on wed and presentation assembly on thurs. talent quest was good. there was some "liquid" dancing (i'm not really sure what it was called) and a guy who sang for you i will - teddy geiger. he seriously was very close to the original. and there was a band who payed hotel california and did a great job of it.

sorry for not posting any pics, i'm using another com.

night all!
